Would anyone know what is a no go for a new MSD 8582 billet aluminum dist for my new 347 stroker. I just got a new one from Summit and when I went to slap it in I noticed roughly 20 thousands side play on the gear end of the shaft. It seemed a bit much but what do I know. The Duraspark II new rebuild I removed had almost no play. Just wondering if anyone had a guess. I left word at MSD but I don't expect to hear from them for a while. I want to install this thing soon and wanted to get it right the first time. I am worried for gear wear with this play.
