Distributor Question

Hey guys,

I noticed a "chirp" during idle on my '94 GT the other day. It quiets down when it's warm, but it's pretty loud when I first start it up. I traced the sound to the distributor so I'm fairly sure this means the distributor is on it's way to going Tango Uniform.

Am I better off going with the standard replacement, or is this a good time for an upgrade? Any thoughts on MSD, Mallory or the Summit Racing billets?

Definately the distributer. I've had that happen before, and it just suddenly died on the highway. Steer clear of the aftermarket ones, as they don't last very long. Get a quality factory one.
