I had my distributor in and all was money...untill I popped it out to put the fuel rail line in place....I went to put the distributor back in and its a no go. I can hear a click as tho the oil pickup is sliding into the center as it should, but the distributor still sits about an inch above where it needs to be.....No amount of "twirling" the rotor or distributor will get it to slide down. What the F is goin on? Thanks

sounds like the shaft for the oil pump is not sitting down in it the recess for the pump the way that it should. I would try shining a light etc and moving it to see if y ou could get it to slide back down in the hole, then try to get the dist in
