I finally got so sick and tired of dumping money into the Mustang that I finally traded it in and put the money toward something a little more reliable and practical for me. I came to the realization that my car was nothing but a money pit.. and not like I was even upgrading anything, all the money I spent was on maintenance and fixing it. I needed something better for a New England DD so here's what replaced it...

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo... 4.0 I6, selec-trac 4WD, lots of options, ridiculously comfortable seats, and only 40,000 miles. It gets about 23mpg on the highway which is pretty sweet. The dealership gave me $4500 for my car on trade in, in the middle of the winter... Blue book trade in value is only like $4200 (97 GT with 90k on the clock), so I made out like a bandit. End result was me getting an absolutely great deal on a very nice truck.

And something I thought was kind of funny (truck was bought from a Ford dealership)

Somewhere down the road I'll end up with another Mustang in the garage, but not as a DD. :SNSign:

I can understand needing to upgrade to something that has a little more seating capacity.

But for you to say, that you were tired of having to shell out money, for maintance/repairs, you didnt do yourself any favors by buying a Grand Cherokee.

I hope it treats you well, it is a good looking truck

Well I see where you're coming from. With the Mustang, I always felt compelled to spend money on it, for mods, for fixing things, whatever. The Jeep has a warranty at least that covers everything except regular maintenance, for the next 3 years. This is why I feel more comfortable in it... plus I can get around in the snow

Shoulda bought an Evo, awd for snow, power/handling for fun times.

Nah, Evos don't really interest me, I've always liked Jeeps so this works out nicely.
