Ok, i know this sounds like a pretty stupid question.. But seriously.. the first time I do a burnout, isnt that going to throw them out of wack?? I used to always get them balanced, but now thinking about it, I dont drive the but maybe 150 miles a month... I mean, its only a few extra bucks to do it, but if burn outs pretty much throw the balance out of whack.. why do it?? Or do burnouts have nothing to do with it....

Well you are technically correct, but the effect isn't as dramatic.

When you do a burnout, you burn rubber off the entire surface of the tire. The amount of rubber should be evem so it should not really affect the balance of the tire.

Of course, it won't be even, so over time it will eventually work it's way out of balance, but it's not going to happen on the first burnout you do.

They will prob be work down before they are in need of being rebalanced

One other thing to add is that if you run to little air preassure in them and your tires slip on the rims then that would throw them out. I know this can be an issue with slicks not sure bout drag radials as much.
