I have been noticing that alot of stangs that have the Optima Red top batteries like me, but they are always a different model. When I got mine, did they give me the wrong one?

here are some pics to illustrate

Aaron's car:

My car:

See how the poles that come down to the side of the battery are in the middle on his, but on the sides on mine?

Technically there is no Optima for our cars. You have the same one I purchased and I'm a waiting too install. Were you able to reuse the stock battery hold down?

kept the same battery box, but made a little bracket that bolts in place of the factory hold down, because the Optima was not as wide as the stock battery. You can see it in the pic of my bay, little black bracket at the base of the battery.

So which model has more cranking amps then, mine or Aaron's?

Oh ok cause I order a polished hold down made by GCR specifically for Optimum in stangs.

Dan- I happen to be running the same one as you. I also had to modify it to work. Not sure what one has more cranking amps though.

95rio I just recieved my CNC hold down and this thing looks great. If you're looking to add a little more bling I highly recomend it (a little $ on shipping but darn good craftsmanship imo.

I may pick one of those up actually. Of course I won't be able to keep myself from mirror polishing it
