Do I need caster/camber plates when installing H&R Super Sport springs?

Is it really necessary that I get caster/camber plates when getting H&R Super Sport springs?

I don't believe it is but they do suggest getting an alignment

I tried to get away with not buying them but did anyway in the end because I was still about a degree off with the alignment. They say lower than 1.5 is pressing your luck
