lol i seen a older explorer like 96 with a saleen kit on it and saleen rims, it didnt look bad it was just crazy. it also had the saleen across the windshield and on the back where on normal saleens it sais s-281 it said X something.....................................................and on another subject i seen a ford probe gt with saleen wheels lol

It’s just like how most people drool over a Roush or Saleen on this forum, at least this isn't something you see every day. Plus it is a sporty looking vehicle you could drive while out of your Mustang, I’d sure as hell rock one as a DD.

By the way the HD trucks used to be sweet before they took the blower off.

proof of bandwagon buyers here. This is why ford is still in business, can slap on a Harley-Davidson sticker on a F-250 and charge 9k more. I think it's sad

Obviously you don't understand the performance aspect of it. Way better suspension, handling, and looks. Not to mention the 04 saleen came with 290HP and 365HP for supercharged editions. I don't know the Explorer Saleen specs, but I'm sure it was bad ass for its time.

List of components for the SALEEN XP8 Explorer:

# COMPLETE GROUND EFFECTS KIT - $2,950.00 (VEHICLE MAY REQUIRE SOME MODIFICATIONS)
# FRONT FASCIA ONLY W/LIGHTS
# SIDE SKIRTS & DOOR PANELS
# REAR FASCIA
# REAR WING $365.00
# CARBON FIBER COMPOSITE HOOD $1450.00
# SUPERCHARGER (option)
# BRAKE UPGRADE
# SALEEN/RECARO SPORT FRONT SEATS & REAR RECOVERS
# EMBROIDERED FLOOR MATS
# INTERIOR DASH/TRIM PACKAGE - CARBON FIBER OR WOOD
# CARBON FIBER MIRROR COVERS
# LEATHER GRAINED STEERING WHEEL
# SHOCKS
# FRONT & REAR SWAY BARS
# 18X8.5 MAGNESIUM WHEELS & TIRES

I heard it's almost impossible to get any Saleen replacements parts for them now a days.

Yeah there is a guy in my area with the XP8 Explorer. They are bad ass. They still arent that fast unless you slap the blower on them, then they are quick... but they are still heavy as hell.

They do look alot better and im sure they handle pretty well for an SUV also. Id love to have one.
