Well I ordered a Spec II and had it installed. After the install it was a PITA to change gears. Kinda figured it was the POS automatic adjusting quadrant not adjusting enough to let the clutch fully disengage. Decided to order the steeda cable, firewall adjuster, and aftermarket quadrant kit and give it a try. Got it from the partshopper for like 100 bucks.

Drove my car up on blocks and popped the clutch cable off the clutch fork. Then removed the POS plastic quadrant and slid the cable out from the firewall. Decided just to use the factory cable. Cut the parts off that the instructions said and then slid the firewall adjuster on and put the cable back through the firewall. Put the quadrant on and connected the cable. Crawled under the car and pryed the clutch fork down and slid the cable back on it. All in all it took about 1 hr.

Got in car and drove it around.................. PERFECT on the first try. No adjusting or anything. Gears changed like a knife sliding through butter.

Defiantly recommend this mod especially if you have an aftermarket clutch.
