Mobil 1 is good, Amsoil is good, Royal Purple is good, Castrol is good......any synthetic from a well known company is going to be just fine. I personally use Mobil 1 10W30 in mine.

If the "moly" was bad for the engine, it wouldn't be in it.

'Moly" is used in a lot of common engine lubricants(check out a package of engine assembly lube or some lube that comes with a new camshaft.....).

If it really worries you, look at the MSDS for the oil, call their tech folks, talk to folks on oil boards or just use another product. Just MHO.

Good luck.

I know it bothers you and you keep saying 'thanks' (which for some reason makes me think you are irritated with my replies. But I keep replying since I keep up with oil info a little).
I just doubt that you will find the specialized/niche information you desire on this board (unless there are oil reps/engineers reading in here). And though I keep up on this stuff a little, I dont have answers to your questions - I would have to research them myself.

And since I appreciate your concerns, I was trying to think of/suggest places I would go/things I would do, to find more objective information. It was not a blow-off at all. I was just trying to think of avenues you can pursue because I know you want to know for sure.

For what it's worth, the following cars/auto makers use Mobil 1 synthetic oil from the factory.

"Aston Martin
Bentley Amage and Bentley GT
Cadillac CTS, XLR, SRX and STS
Chevrolet Corvette
Dodge Viper
Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles
Mercedes SLR
Mitsubishi EVO
Pontiac GTO
All Porsche vehicles"

I only use Mobile1 in my wifes BMW and change it every 6-7k. Never a problem, always drains out still looking like oil. I use Motorcraft sythetic Blend in all of my Mustangs because I change the oil a lot. I don't think I even go 3k miles between changes. The Motorcraft oil, after 3000 miles, drains out looking the same as when I put it in- it never breaks down or anything. Pure synthetics are really only needed if you plan to beat on your car for a long time between oil changes. Most guys that I know waste money using full synthetic. Mustangs actually are really low revving so full synth is kind of a waste unless you have blower to oil too......please don't hate my opinion as I'm sure most everybody will. I drive over 60k a year so I change a lot of oil.
