do 96 and up cobra vert's have the 25lb weight up front in the fender like so often refered to in the threads here. I put this out in the 4.6 forum to no avail, I only ask because my cousin bought one.

I do not believe that they do. It was either in 96 or 97 that they stopped putting them in.

yeah I have read on other post's that there is a 25lb weight on the backside of the front passenger fender. the guy's have also posted pic's of it so it does exsist. so if any of you other stangers have that pic post it for jakob. thanks for the info paul. Phil

I don't have a pic but it is heavy as a mofo for 25 pounds. It looks like a mini steamroller or a baker's roller on steroids. You can't miss it if you look there.

Soo you say they stopped putting them in and they're not in the 96's? Cuz if they are i'm gonna be doin some weight reduction

I removed mine, It is black cast iron and says "caution 25 pounds" I believe ford called it a "vibration dampener" but I dont know what that means? I have no problems what-so-ever after removing it.
