I heard that in the 4.0 v6 Mustang engine, it has "forged" connecting rods over what is in a explorer/ranger?

Can anyone clarify that?

Reason for this question is a college car club forum that I am apart of has a couple guys fighting that have a 2006 ranger and a 2006 mustang v6, the ranger guy thinks the mustang's engine has "forged" connecting rods over what is in his ranger.

I thought they were forged more so then a ranger... doesnt seem right them having the exact same engine.

According to these links, they're forged. They've still got crappy hypereutectic pistons though, so don't get any ideas about getting greedy with excessive boost.
