Do you need a roll cage/bar to install 3 point harness like the 4,5,6 do?

I just bought a pair of Corbeau Leather TRS seats. Got them in the other day and cant wait to install them this weekend. I know stock seatbelts work with them, but was looking at the Corbeau website and saw their harnesses. I understand with 4 or 5 or 6 point you have to tie them down to a roll bar for safety of your spine in the event of a roll over, but what about the 3 point? Is it the same? I see that corbeau has a 3 point harness that functions like a stock OEM seatbelt with the retractor. So it makes it comfortable to wear because you can move around and the retractor gives you slack, but in the event of a crash, it locks tight just like a stock seat belt. I would love to get those if there is no safety issues.

For the most part Tom is right like usually.
Most states it's illegal and you can even get one of those no seatbelt tickets while wearing a harness. Some places are not so strict. If your really wanting to do it do some research on your state laws first.
