do you store or dd for the winter?

I usually stop driving around now to whenever there is no sand/salt on the roads. That usually means around April. Friday was the last real drive in it, prob just head into town once more to top it off then take it off the road. Then the wrenching starts!

Used to daily drive the '89 Hatch but found out the neighbor was selling his completely stock '88 AOD Notch so I DD that for now. It pains me to put it through the snow but I bought it to drive so I could wrench on the '89.

mine sits in a heated garage in the corner with the car cover on it waiting for May! mine isnt a daily driver and dosnt see snow or rain or any kind of bad weather! so she is sleeping until May when i wake her up again! CANT WAIT! but until then I can buy parts and install waiting for the nicer weather to get here once again!:canada:
I have a feeling I would get alot more done, and my cars would be in much better shape, if once a year I took them off the road for an extended period of time. I'm always in such a hurry to get that new part installed or fix another issue that sometimes I overlook the small details.

Both my cars are in the garage. It really doesn't bother me to put them away. I used to hate it...and I would bring them out as soon as the weather breaks....but now I could care less. I didn't bring out my Cobra until August and I put it away in October. I did manage to replace all my front suspension parts though...so this past summer FTW!!!!

I actually drove mine more last winter than I did all year this year.
From mid March until the end of August it was in the bodyshop.
Since getting it back Ive only put about 800 miles on it.

Lately Ive had so many issues with the car that I really dont even bother driving it much at all. I just get too aggravated driving it.

This afternoon I took it out for the first time in a few weeks and while driving home it stopped shifting so I had to pull over and reconnect the transmission throttle cable (whatever its called). After that the tranny shifted but the shifts were really delayed and harsh.

On top of that the lifters that have been ticking seem to be ticking louder than ever and Ive got no clue why since they dont even have 1000 miles on them.

The next time I drive it will either be to put it away for the winter or to swap the POS AOD out for the T5 thats sitting in my garage.
