does 351W and 351C parts interchange?

Too much hassle to make a clevor with the technology these days. And that conversion intake is going to cost you $$$$$$$$ bigtime. It is better to start with a clevaland because you have the compatible parts. Otherwise build that windsor as a windsor.

  does anyone know if a 351C heads and intake manifold could fit on a 351W?

351C heads will not work on a 351W block without drilling new water jackets in the heads. A 351C intake will not work at all on a 351 W. From what I understand, a Boss 302 intake, not a 351C intake, mind you, will work on a 302, not a 351W, with the modified 351 C heads. For a 351W, you have to use either a custom intake or a specialized intake that was made by B&A Performance, which is now out of business. You can still find B&A intakes on ebay occasionally, though. You may also have to find specialized headers that were made by B&A, although I think some of the 351C headers will work depending on the year of the car.
I have a friend who used a 351 Clevor, as it is known, in a Fox body Mustang (1979-1993). I still know where the car is today, and the current owner might be willing to sell the heads and induction system, but I'm not sure (if you're really interested, PM me and I'll check). Although I don't think the previous ever had the engine tuned optimally, I did ride in the car and really wasn't that impressed. You have to understand that, although the 351C 4 bbl heads had HUGE ports and valves, their ports were not designed for optimum flow compared to today's aftermarket heads, and 4 bbl Cleveland heads don't make good power except in high RPM ranges, which is not ideal on the street.
IMO, unless you're willing to do a lot of custom port work, an out of the box AFR head will be the better choice performance wise. In addition, those 4 bbl Cleveland heads were extremely heavy compared to modern aluminum heads. Its a cool throw-back combo if that's your goal, but, once again, IMO I think its a waste of money considering the cylinder head options that currently exist in the aftermarket.

if you are willing to spend the time, effort, and money, you can make the 351c intake fit the 351w heads. all you need is an adaptor kit from price motorsports. yes they have one, kit number ap-17. check out www.pricemotorsports.com for more information and more kits.

that said however, i also dont feel the clevor conversion is worth the effort, unless you are really strapped for cash, and you already have the heads and intake. the machine work isnt too costly, but by the time you pay for the machine work, and buy the adaptor kit, and adjust the kit to the heads, you could have bought a set of windsor sr heads for your 351w, and still have a fair amount of money for buying an edelbrock performer rpm air gap intake.
