I have a 87 speed density 5.0 with full exhaust and a FRPP 65mm Throttle Body. If I wanted to convert to mass air. Could I use a stock system from a boneyard or use FRPP conversion kit, or forget it since I don't need it.

What do you think?

Depends on your money budget, and it is always worth it to swap because of future things like a cam.

will it be a bottleneck?

would the stock mass air be a bottle neck or perfectly acceptible with the 65mmTB?

do I need mass air at all?

I heard when they added mass air in 89 the pony lost 3-4 horses!

Yeah the pony lost some horses, but go and try putting a cam in your speed density car and see why its worth it. I would think after reading your other post on all of the other things that you have, it would be time for a slightly larger one, because im sure you will definetly need one in the future anyway with the way your modding.

unless you have a cam...
wait. S/D does not like cams. (could get tuned btw)
the 87-88 s/d cars were quicker than the mass air cars stock.

Will the stock MAF work with a FRPP 65mm T/B....sure. Will it give you any additional power...not likely. Is it a bottle neck....no more than before. Is the conversion worth it without doing a cam, intake and head swap. Nope!
