Does a GT40 crate motor go directly in?

Has anyone done a Ford Racing crate motor? Will it work with the water pump and oil pan or doe you need to transfer it from the olde motor?

I believe they come with Explorer pieces, but for the money, you're better off getting one from CHP, DSS, etc. You can get a 331/347 for about the same price as a 302 from FRPP, with better internals.

Hey thanks for the reply. I looked into the CHP setup and the Short block alone will cost the same as a whole GT40 crate motor from Diversified.

yeah but the internals in the CHP/DSS engines are better, that frpp is just a fresh 302, IMO it's a well made upgrade
