Cragar Eliminator 500 wheels

I have these wheels on my car. 15 x7 in the front(215/60), 15 x 8 in the back(225/60). I currently am using a lincoln rear end in the car, so that is why it looks close to the fenderwell. I like the look of these wheels because of the resemblence to the shelby 65 cragars.

these wheels were pretty popular in the sixties and were the basis for the shelby wheels, although these were around before the shelby wheels. a lot of magazine test cars back in the day had these wheels on them. I have aome really old car craft and hot rod magazines with a lot of Ford test cars and these wheels are on a bunch of them. I've seen them on Mercury Comets and Cyclones and Cougars and even a couple of Mustangs.

Back then these wheels were known as Cragar GT's and not Eliminators but Cragar has used the GT name on several different wheels like this style, some all aluminum SS style wheels and some 5 hole Ceneterline Champ 500 look-alikes and probably a couple of other as well, they seem to like that name.....a lot!!!!.....LOL

I'm considering using a set of these on my 69 Cougar as well, but I'll paint the insets on the spokes black like they did back in the 60's, most of tose test cars that had these had black centers.

Black centers are available too. I bought 15x7 (4.125 BS) and 15x8 (4.5 BS) from Summit yesterday. Apparently selling well...mine are backordered.

I just got the call from Jegs, that these wheels aren't only back-ordered now, they're discontinued. Jegs still has the 15x8, but I'm set on 15x7. I'm bummed, these would have been sweet on my 67.

I just got the 15x7 gray spoke wheels last week from Summit. They are now showing that they are back ordered--I'd call them up and check. I can't imagine Cragar discontinuing a popular product like this.

I had ordered the black wheels. I called two other places and got the same answer, that they were back-ordered and didn't have an eta on a shipment. I ended up with the MB Old Schools off Discount Tire Direct. I was going to get my tires from them anyways, and I like the wheel just as much.

Yes it is a Lincoln Versailles rearend. I am not sure which year it is. I have another 9 inch rearend that is going to go into the car and I am planning on selling the lincoln rearend.
