So my friend got his mustang dynoed today.... and while at the shop i asked the owner a few questions. I asked him about bbk longtube headers and he said they were a pain, just because they never fit right. He suggested Mac longtube headers and a Mac offroad H. Does anyone have this combo... and what do you think about it? I was so set on getting bbk, now im stuck again!

BBK are a good header. Once you install them, check your clearances. I had a clearance issue around the passenger motor mount. Once I ground down the motor mount a bit I didn't have any problems.

I know other people have had that same problem with the BBK headers- but other than that I would recommend them.

Im under the impression that SLP is really raspy and annoying loud... i have no idea why i feel that way. I wanted something loud, but a deep loud. Something that screams get the hell out of my way!! What kinda of setup would bring me that? I have magnaflow magnapack catback exhaust btw.

headers wont make it way loud the SLP cat-back can be really loud. For magnapacks (straight through muffler) most will recommend an X pipe. I use a catted x, but o/r X's sound great

I have a full mac system. I have been happy with it. The cat back is over 6 years old.

i have BBK Longtubes with the BBk H pipe and i love it. I can even get my tranny out without having to take one of the headers off.
