Does anyone know how to lower the seat?

lol just push the button on the left side and it will move lol,

JK i really have no idea, i have heard of extensions to move seats further back in cars but never lower?

Im 6'5 250 im in the same boat ! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US TALL BASTARDS ! LOL.. Ive looked into it and the only way would be to get a new seat set up, like one of the more pro looking seats... they dont have all the fancy movments in them and they are lower to the floor in the car !

Convertible?

Back in the day a fellow came through tech at an SCCA road race school, and his showroom stock Corvette's rollover bar was an inch too low. His solution was to borrow a box-cutter knife and cut out the bottom of the driver seat.

I'm not suggesting that's the right move in this case, but thinking about reducing the tail-bone height off the floor by lowering just part of the seat, rather than the whole thing. My imagination shows me the seat surface you sit on is not actually resting on something, but is like a sling between side bolsters. Taking off the seat cover, adding in a narrow panel and (if necessary and possible) removing a little padding from the stack might yield a comfort margin in head clearance.

My technique (I'm just a little short guy at 6' 1") was to raise the front of the seat; tilting it back worked good enough, even in a Mk I Austin-Healey Sprite. The motorized adjustments and seat-back angle seem to be plenty in the Mustang coupe.

Seat mountings in modern cars are less likely to yield to modifications, as designers and manufacturers have become aware of their importance in safety considerations. I guess the final alternative is to have a section taken out of your spine. Then you'd have to get new shocks and struts, wouldn't you?

Final thought: Maybe the reason a V6 fits better is a difference in cover fabric; I sink farther into the cloth seats in my V6 convertible than the leather ones in the coupe. They both have the electric adjusters.

Finally, being short (5'9) is good for something!

Ok so I hve the cloth seats and there is really no differnce in the height in the leather, This thread got me thinking alot ... sooooo, I drove to my auto dude and ask him what the ..****, he is going to find me a stock crap seat with out all the electronics on it and see if that changes anythign in the way we seat... if not were going to mod the crap out of the seat...aka, take out some foam and mayby fab a bracket up ! WOOT WOOT weekend project !

hell yeah, i can fit in any car comfortably pretty much. but i can't drive late 70s vettes because of how the seats are. hah.

damn, these cars feel so much roomier then my old one.[sn95.] i can't believe ford hasn't done something for the tall people yet.

Ok update on the seat .... Found a stock seat (not leather) and removed all the electronics under neath... and... nothing, still sat the same, removed some of the foam and it "kinda" worked but Be it that im 250lbs and have a 2 hour drive to work.. the lack of foam ... feels not soo good. Im working on a bracket. I had an old Sparco seat from my 04 that had a really nice bracket on it , so later this work I will be trying to fab something like that up !
