Well the tach on my 95 GT cluster doesn't go high enough so I was wondering if a gauge cluster out of a 96-98 Cobra would go in? Does anyone know what would need to be done?

Hmmm, I cant say that Ive seen the back of a 96+ cluster but something tells me theyre going to be slightly different. Ill check the wiring diagrams, etc to see if the connectors are different. Do the 96 and up have different sensors and warning lights?

Im looking at the diagrams for it on the Ford OASIS website and theres no difference between the 95 and 96 diagrams. Even the wire colors are listed as the same and there still appears to be only the two main connectors, c250 and c251. Only thing I wonder is if the actual dimensions are different.

Thanks for looking. I wonder how the speedo and tach would change? The speedo reads more mph and the tach reads more rpms. Hmmm can you even buy a 96-98 whole cluster new?

yeah I would be more curious about how the tach would read since its triggered from coil packs.

Yeah the tach in the 96 only gets the info from the PCM where as the 95 gets the tach infrom from the ignition module. Thatll probably be the deal breaker right there. Arent there Saleen certified speedos that have increased tach and speedo ranges?

I'm not sure. If they did I'm sure they would cost the amount of a small car because it has "saleen" on it.

7,300-7,400rpms. This is what I think I'm going to do. Yes I'm going to get a shift light. When I'm on the street just goofing around I am going to use the tach and shift around 6,800rpms and at the track I will just go by the shift light.

Who makes a good one? I was thinking a raptor.

I don't think the stock tach is worth anything at that high of an RPM anyway. My stock tach is off by 400 rpms when I hit 5500.
