I saw somewhere that there is an ohm reading for the temp sender when its cold and then when its hot. Does anyone know if the sender I got at the parts store would read the same as one out of the classic parts catalogs?? I have posted about a temp gauge that will slowly make its way to the H after 30-40 minutes of driving, but I have a Fluke meter on the top hose that will say 170-180 degrees. Is it possible that the new sender is calibrated differently then one from the catalogs???

Check to make sure there are no air pockets in the cooling system. Have the same problem on a car right now we can't seem to burp. gonna take out the t-stat and put a small hole in it. The air can hit the t-stat not letting it open up. And it can show normal at the hose because it lets the coolant out very slow.
