That thin strip of plastic that slides along with the shift handle. The dealer only sells the entire bezel.

Mines been broke for years now. I'd love to find a replacement, but I've learned to just get over it.

I would drive me crazy. They sell them for the '60's Mustangs for $3, somebody should make them for the later ones.

Mine did that same thing, scoured everywhere with no luck. I bit the bullet and bought a new bezel from Ford. Its really not hard to change out.

Although looking back on it now I probably could/should have just left it alone as I went to a ball shifter and stuck a leather boot on it and relocated the O/D switch to a toggle right next to the shifter.
