Does anyone race in any of the NMRA classes?

just wondering if anyone races in any of the classes like factory stock, or pure street. just wondering about what you like, dis-like about the class your racing. good things and bad things you didn't expect.

i've been thinking about not going foward with what i had planed with my car and just getting it back on the road. just keep it a cruiser with the bolt ons it has and focus on another car. i think if i could commit to one of the classes, i could build a car and use it. instead of changing my mine a hundred times and end up going nowhere and having a car in pieces.

just trying to get some input, from anyone who racing in these clases.

Thanks

if i was to do any it would be true street. The plans for my car have always been centered around a street car but can pull good times. maybe in another couple years i'll actually try it but now the car just isn't ready for any kind of 1/4 mile

I ran one event in Renegade about 11 years ago. Back then you could be competitive with a street car, or at least not look like a complete idiot wasting his time. I can't stand bracket racing or breakout racing. Now everything is so competitive that if you don't have a purpose built race car, and a good amount of disposable income to spend on it, you're just going to look stupid out there.
