does anyone remember this movie?

It was a movie about this kid that races a mustang.. it lookes like a 68ish fastback mustang.. it was red and had some monsterous rear tires.. at the end the car blew up after a race.. does anyone remember what movie or what the car was?

Was it "Born to Run"? It was a 1970 mustang in this one though.

If I remember correct there was a Movie called Inner Space that had a nice 67 or 68 Red Fastback in it, it never got destroyed though.

Well, Two Lane Black Top is like that and ends with the car being desroyed, but it was a 55 chevy. Not sure about any mustang movies like that.

I know exactly which one....he stuck a $50 on the windshield and went for it, she couldnt grab it...at the end she tore in half and wrote her # on it

Yep your right it was a Vert as I just remembered Martin Short getting yelled at by Meg Ryan for driving it.
