Does cutting springs equal needing an alignment?

Doing the Shlby drop and 620# springs this weekend and will get an alignment. My Stang is my daily driver. I plan on letting things settle before cutting the springs (if I need to). My question is will I have to get another alignment if I do end up cutting the springs?

Thanks for helping this newb out... :nice:

Yep... wait until you're done with all your mods... you might get lucky. I did the Shelby... new rear springs, new front springs, cut them down too, new upper control arms, subframe connectors, big front sway bar, gear swap (axle out) and the sucker still goes down the road straight as an arrow for some reason. Tire wear is not a problem either.

My question is on cutting the front springs because I'm in the middle of doing the same mod. What is the process? Just cut off a 1/4 on an inch at a time?

Thanks.

i have the 620 and cut 1 coil, and now the coil fall out of the pocket when the arms drop.Im actually growing up now and want to raise it a little to get a little better ride and get some taller tires, but more then anything, the negative camber kills tires.I would like to do the Shelby drop and replace the coils, but it does sit nice now
