Hey guy, I asked my dad if a certain cai on ebay was a good buy or not since it was used. He said(excerpt from email)
"no you don't need it does nothing for performance , you need $$$$expensive$$$$ other parts if you want more power ......................
and unless you buy a new intake manifold and cam and bigger throttle body and bigger injectors and some new big tube headers and new exhaust pipes you won't be making any more power than what you got already .you will also need a new mass air meter calibrated for the bigger injectors .you will also need new heads .
the above stufff will only work when used together not seperate 1 pc at a time and will set you back about 3500 -5000 dollars ."
I totally trust my dad's judgement(not just being a daddy's girl, he knows what he's talking about-most of the time
But what I'd like to know, does it matter if I buy a little at a time or do I really need to buy it all at the same time? I'm not dragging it till it's all done, I don't want to make an ass out of myself! But I'm also not made of money, so I'd like to buy a little at a time and put it together slowly.
I've got on order a new throttle body(bbk75mm). The pipes on there now I believer are 2.5".
Any opinions are greatly appreicated!
