Did you use the gaskets that came with the headers? Mine lasted about 3 weeks...
Tim

I agree, I had to replace my cheap exhaust gaskets due to burn through and leaks. I went with dead soft aluminum exhaust gaskets:

FlowTech Real-Seal aluminum exhaust header gaskets 99253FLT

These are better than SE?, I mean Damn good and reusable.

Good Luck, Don

hey, i think it is my header gaskets..... the copper ones SUCK! i got graphite ones by flatout gaskets. so i should soak em in warm water for an hour before i put em in?!?!
yes. I have equale length and man i had leaks all the time till my buddys at texas jam told me to soak them in water so that they can swell up and when you start to tighten them you see a good seal start the engin and let it dry. you will see steam comming from the gaskets dont panic they are just curing.

i saw your clip on the stang nice horse any ways is it cold outside because i saw the tail pipes throwing alot of exzaust smoke. tip buy a can of carb cleaner or brake fluid and start the stang unplug the vac cable that runs from you brether to your throatle body and spray all the can or brake fluid so that you can clean out your valves intake and etc, at first you will see black smoke come out of you tail pipes and you need to flour it so that it wont shut off and as you keep repeting these steps there will be no more black smoke you just cleaned your valves
