does lobe separation have any correlation to boost?

Is there a reason why a cam with the exact same specs as a B-cam, except with an LSA of 116 would not run well on a NA motor, why would this be labeled a blower cam, does the LSA have anything to do with it?

From what I heard, blowers need the higher LSA so that the boost doesnt go out of the exhaust during the overlap and with N/A, you want the overlap to be fairly large so that the vaccuum from the exhaust pulls the air/fuel mixture in. Our computers don't like anything lower than a cam with an LSA of 113, though.

well then Im assuming since the stock cam has an LSA of 116, there would be nothing wrong with this

What trueblue said is right. And like you said theres nothing wrong witha 116 lsa...but from a power stand point you could go with something more agressive.

HIGH LSA makes better power up top due to the overlap being lower usually. Low LSA increases the chance that you are forcing boost out the valves and wasting energy of the SC.

On another thought...the best application would be to have the overlap just perfect with the boost so that it forces the old gases out just perfect when replaced with new fresh.....
