Hmm its sorta wierd, last time i went up there they wouldent let me run cause i had a chip in my windshield, and my buddy had a little slice in his tire and they said they would only let him run for the day. I recently talked to a kid that told me when he goes up that before he gets there he takes off his plates, and they never give him any problems...he said they hate people from MA....anyone ever had this problem?

I don't see that being true. You are paying to get in, who the hell cares where you're from. They're after that almighty dollar.

I can't speak with certainty though. Many New Englanders have the "Kennedy disposition," so there is no telling what their deal is.

Delaware? What the hell is in Delaware anyway?

Anyway, I don't think thats true. I've been up there for 3 years now in a variety of different cars, all from MA. My friend Jeff had (totaled it street racing) a high compression 455 in a mid 80's Cutlass... one of the tech guys said his battery was mounted improperly (??) and that it moved around too much in the engine bay. So my buddy takes off his belt and ties it in there more securely and they let him run.

Maybe the tech was just having a bad day? The windshield chip does seem kinda excessive.

They it right back in the azz though when people bring a Pro-stock/street/mod car that everyone drools over and the techs pass easy, and the damn thing explodes fluid alllll over the track, every damn time. That same tech that blew off the inspection is now cleaning up for 30 minutes... its all about karma.

The techs are typically very strict there. Ive only had a problem once, i was missing one lugnut on one tire.

I dont see any mass discrimination though.. Plus think about it, taking the plates off doesnt do anything. The tech still looks at your license, and the inspection sticker is a dead give away usually too.

3/4 of the people who go to NED are from Mass...I never thought they were dicks...they do take a good look see though...I always had a piss ass leak on top of the t/stat...i made sure that was cleaned up...i know they'll pork you on that...

its sorta like taking the winter beater in and having them dick with you for inspection .... Hate that chit...I prefer to buy my stickers...

I personally had bad dealings with their track crew. I called them to ask them a simple question. I got so much attitude from all of them and the people who answer the phones don't know jack. Especially when I asked to talk to someone who would know the answer.

On the other hand I have a chip in my windshield and get away with it everytime I go up. I also have my battery held down by bungee cords.
