I don't think anyone here has swapped a 5.8 in a 3.8 shell.

Well @Turbo_Charged_95 you would be incorrect. I've dropped a 95 Cobra drivetrain into a 3.8 shell, and have been driving it for more than 10 years. To answer your question, all 1994 and 1995 dashboards are identical - it's how Ford managed to save money in those years. You can have a wiring difference depending on the sound system installed, but all 1994-1995 dashboards will bolt up and work just fine.

96-98 dashboards have different wiring, but if you have your old dash you can always swap the wiring harness from one to the other.

Thank you for bringing that up. I looked more into it and i believe you are correct. i nearly purchased a '93 harness. Luckily you said something and i compared the listing to my v6 harness and noticed it looked different. Whew, that saved me $150 + shipping . Feels great to know this . Thanks .
.
Although i do wonder if i could just add 2 more wires to the v6 connector for the extra injectors . Maybe re-pin the connector if needed. that way i save $150 or more . [ EDIT: disregard that.. i forgot about the distributor stuff ]

the engine harness is nowhere close to being the same. I’ve got a 94/95 harness id give you if you cover shipping. Shoot I might have 2.

Absolutely correct! But OP was asking about the dash harness, and not the engine harness.

That would be absolutely great . Those things can be pricey even for a used condition . It's bad enough that a used A9L e.c.u. ran me $200 .
\/ I'm glad i looked to make sure about those 3 main connectors .
If you really don't mind l, i could sure benefit and be real grateful for that engine-to-dash harness and i could send you a paypal donation for shipping and time . I'll have to message you .

The dash/ECU-to-engine harness.
I was looking at an '89-93 harness because I thought the earlier 5.0 mustang's would work until I noticed it had a circle connecter instead of a square one which is why I'm glad something was said . Accidental weight reduction in my wallet is not what I need haha .
