First question. Does the placement of the steering wheel look fine? I can't get the column cover over it

Second what are these two connections for? I have a 93 lx coupe

Bottom pic is the NGS circuit that connects to the switch on the clutch pedal. Should be hooked up

That's good to know. What exactly does it do or not do when not hooked up?

Is it me guys or does that steering wheel look like a newer one, like SN95? I have an 88 and don’t remember with the side of the airbag steering wheels look like. @James V, we’re the covers always there? Upload a pic of the front of the wheel. Something looks off.

I actually see something plugged into the clutch already and don't see where this would plug

Just noticed it looks like my turn signal switch is closer to the gauges than it should be. What would cause this

Two plugs plug into the switch. The other wire is the starter interrupt circuit.

They plug in side by side

Not sure about the steering column. It's a 4 cylinder conversion. The cluster housing has changed to the gt 140 mph cluster

I'm betting the cluster or the column is the wrong year

Ok so basically a safety feature. I'll plug that back in. Do you by any chance know what the other connection by the steering column that I posted above is?

Thanks for your help. I checked the cluster before and it was correct I believe. So looks like now I'll need a column

My car is a 93 coupe. I didn't do the swap so I'm not sure about the donor car.

Then your column is correct, the instrument housing is wrong.
this is a common occurrence, a 4cyl to v8 swap is a daunting job and most are not done correctly resulting in flipping the project to pass the headache on to someone else. Do you know what what harnesses were used?

I'm not sure what harnesses were used, is there a way to check?

The harness hanging in the second picture is the shift lock actuator and here's a pic of the steering column trim out of a 93. You have the 90-93 steering wheel, and cluster surround so I would think the column trim would fit. car.

You have a nice rear end there Dave.

If your gauge cluster is flat across the bottom it is the wrong one. The 87-89 are flat on the bottom. The 90-93 are rounded due to the airbag steering wheel. I bet yours is flat and that's what is causing this issue. Other than the bottom the clusters look the same. The top picture is an 87-89 cluster. The bottom is a 90-93.
