Would anyone know if the severity of a bad balljoint fluctuate with temperature? Reason being is that in the mornings the car seems to drive fine. However, on the way home in the late afternoons in bumper to bumper traffic, I start to hear and feel a knocking sensation. More pronounced when slowly letting out the clutch, shimmying (is that a word?) the wheel back and forth at low speeds, or sometimes feathering the brake. If i ride the clutch a bit at higher rpms, there is none of this "knocking". I did the 12 and 6 o'clock grab and shake, and the right side wheel does move a little. I haven't ruled out my motor mounts(which looked a little cracked, but not all fubared as my friends' ones were), h-pipe knocking on the car frame, loose bellhousing bolts, or bad steering joint/bushings. Just looking for other peoples' experiences so I know what to look for this weekend when I put the thing up on the stands. Thanks in advance.
