5 3/4 hrs. later I was done with my plenum and Throttle body install... to say the least it was a nightmare..

Summary

Broke down Throttle Body and Stock Plenum (15 min)
Start switching parts over to new one.. (10 minutes)
get to last piece to move over (TPS) and we cannot get the damn locktited, 200 ft. lbs of torque bolts out.. we almost give up but we decide to go to Lowes for a Impact Screwdriver.. We meet a guy that just so happens to drive a 690 HP 980 lbs of Torque Dodge Truck (damn old men and their fanstasy's but back on topic) and he tells us that we should go to Sears...

Buy Part $25 bucks
Screwdriver / Sledge = TPS sensor oblitorated (we tapped and tapped and tapped and those screws were not going anywhere!!)
Another Trip.. this one to the AutoZone in BFE and Hootersville.. ie.. GHETTO!!!
but They have 1 in stock, THANK GOD!! another $25 bucks...

we finally get back around Midnight.. bolt everything back on (15 Minutes)

Total wrench time
45 Minutes

Total time of project
5 Hrs

But at the end I got a little HP and there is a little whistle now coming from my motor.. sounds like I only have a Kenny Bell on now.. which leads up to my question:

Does anyone else have a sucking / whistling sound after the Dragon / accufab plenum install?? its not continous, more of when I tap the gas, I hear a whistle...

lastly I do feel a difference, install is worth it, I'm not going to say I feel 24 HP from it.. but I can say it pulls harder.. alot harder.. I feel more power from this then my Timing Adjust and Pullies combined

Usually Accufab makes TB in such way that they don't whistle. My 70mm Accufab TB doesn't whistle.

Yeah it aint that bad.. just wanted to make sure I didn't do anything wrong.. I also didnt use the hose clamp that came with it.. I'm wondering if I should put it on.. just in case!!

also, does it take a while for the computer to adapt.. I didnt reset the computer, nor disconnect it.. I feel the increase but im wondering if I will see more if i reset my computer...

Does it sound like the Andy Griffeth show song??

Sounds like the whistles they blow in Tijuana (SP) as your getting Tequilla poured down your throat

I have heard the next after the Plenum / ThrottleBody install is a 85 MAF.. I have one but it's not installed... I'm wondering if I will see an increase in power?? Any comments??

very very yes, you'll be happy with the MAF addition. 5 min install..

(i know i know lovely grammer)

if you look at redfireGT03's mods. he has the 85MAF, trueflow pipe, plenum and TB. Those mods alone gave him over 20rwhp. Imagine the gains with a tune..

What is involved in the C&L Install? It comes with another Air filter and a black Plastic cover

Just undo the 4 bolts on the MAF and mount the air filter and heat shield?

Mine whistles loudly with BBK 75mm and C & L plenum.

I've posted this before, and I'll post it again- Any cheap, cordless drill with a phillips screwdriver bit will easily back out those TPS screws. Very easy people!

I had the Accufab 70MM T/B & stock plenum - no whistle. Accufab 70MM + C&L Plenum noticeable whistle, but not bad or annoying at all - just install some headers, an x pipe and some flows - it'll go away....
