I was wondering whos chime for the headlights on and the key in the ignition still works. Well technically mine still works, its just not loud, you really have to listen for it.

I'm kind of glad I cant hear it, because as we all know they can get annoying.

Mine is QUIET, only way you can hear it if there is no other noise, and then its a faint chime.

Now that I think about it, when I was a kid we had a talking 1984 T- bird, it sounded like KITT too. (gotta love the 80's) I say around '88 he stopped speaking to us. It really just became really faint and you could only hear it when it was QUIET, its the same way my stang is now.

Never thought about it before but the last three foxes I had dint have working chimes. My 84 had a very annoying buzz that drove me nuts.

My 93 still has a working chime.

Where is it located and what does it look like? Guess I could stick my head under there and listen for it, just never have.

I forgave its annoyingness when I left my lights on one time. Now I usually thank my "little dingy-light-thingy" if I leave the lights on. I just wish it wouldn't ding when the keys are in and the door is open.
