doing a headswap

ok guys i am doing a pi headswap and i got the heads on and timed
but my question was how did you guys time your engines.....cause when i took the timing chains off of my old heads i didn't mark them or anything and they didn't have any marks on them so what i did was, i got pics off the internet and just counted the teeth and match them to a fixed point and did my timing that way, and its good now i turned the engine over and no valve to piston contact but i was just wondering how everyone else did it.?

and my friend has a 97 cobra and he told me i could use his stock injectors and maf (because he got a supercharger and got new ones).... is this true and will it give me any more horse power?

I'm sure others will chime in, but there should be timing marks on your cam gears, to line up with a mark on the crank pulley.

You don't need new injectors. The ones you have will flow plenty for the new heads.

Generally, you would only upgrade the MAF once it is pegged and the injectors once they are maxed out. Plus you would need a tune if you did decide to install those. As for the timing, I don't know, maybe someone else can help you out

do a search to find some pics of the timing marks on your cam gears. as for the chains, you can make your own markes. just stretch out the chain and lay it flat so that it has on link on both sides, mark those. essentialy, the two marks are on two links exactly opposite of each other on the chain, if that makes any sence...
