Since my OEM plenum from my 02 GT was just sitting in a box, I decided to make a project of porting and polishing it. I'm about 1/4 of the way thru the project and have worn down several grinding wheels/stones in my dremel. Just went to Home Depot to stock up on more. I hope to put it back on my 02 and give my wife the accufab plenum for her 01. Has anyone out there done their own port and polish? Any advice? It seems the more I get into it, the more I learn about each and every inch of it...and it seems to be pretty straight forward, just lots of labor, noise and aluminum dust! I was inspired by an article in the June 03 issue of MM&FF mag, entitled, "Small Wonder - How to port your stock 4.6 2v upper intake box and pick up 10 hp and 14.9 lb-ft of torque." Fortunately, they have several side by side photos, but, unfortunately, their 'how-to' instructions consist of telling you of a company that can do it for you.
