Two weeks ago when I called the Ford 800 number that APowers provided in this forum to check on the build & delivery status of my 07 GT, I was told that the Build Date/Week would be Aug 28. I just got off the phone with Ford to find out that the car was built last week and now has a projected arrival date at the dealer of 8/31-9/7. Not that I'm complaining, but now I need to get busy now on selling the 96 Cobra.

I was in the same boat, had to sell my 93 GT b/c my car came in a couple weeks before I thought it would. Now my car is sitting on a dealer lot since the 16th and I can't pick it up until Saturday. I haven't slept well in a week, and it gets progressively worse the closer Saturday comes. The pure agony will soon be displaced by bliss I hope.

Keep calling the number, it gave me an actual arrival date that was right on the money when the week of delivery got closer. The dealer called me at 1400 on the 16th the day predicted. Good luck.

I am calling every day hoping for a change. Last week or so it has said to be built this week and arrive week of Sept. 9th. Did you call the same 800 number and it change or did you find out from your dealer. Mine might already be on its way as well if they were on the same line. Let me know so I can bug my dealer.

1-800-962-3746
All you need is
Dealer #
Order #
Body #
and year model
Or just VIN# but found that to be to difficult since all is verbal input. They could never understand all my letters.

I had the same problem with the 3746 number.

Try 800-392-3673. You have to wait for a bunch of recorded stuff about recalls, etc. but eventually you do get to talk to a real live human being. Give him/her your VIN and they can tell you the status of your car. It's a shame that this info isn't available via a web page.

Thanks again to APowers for the 800-392-3973 number.

Called that number and it gave me a later date than the 800 number I was using.

From your PM reply we are getting about the same car except mine is the CS option in Redfire and yours the GT option in same color. Guess by you getting yours early it is making be get mine late. Oh well as long as it gets here.

Did your dealer get a payoff?

Good for you! Be sure and post pics when you get it. Sounds like they were close in the time frame.

Ordered mine on July 17th, showed up on Aug. 21st (5 weeks).
I don't know if this is normal, they told me to expect 6 to 10 weeks.
Good business policy to under promise and over deliver.

If they can locate what you want at another dealer, you'll get it quicker than if they have to build it. My dealership checked to see if anyone had what I wanted before calling in to have it built.
