Don't This Beat All?

I had the same problem with the 3746 number.

Try 800-392-3673. You have to wait for a bunch of recorded stuff about recalls, etc. but eventually you do get to talk to a real live human being. Give him/her your VIN and they can tell you the status of your car. It's a shame that this info isn't available via a web page.

Thanks again to APowers for the 800-392-3973 number.

Just tried that number today and it gave me a no longer in service recording. Guess they were tired of the eager GT owners calling in.:D

In my post I inadvertently gave conflicting numbers. The correct number is 800-392-3673. I just used it (twice in fact) and it still works. I had to call a second time because the first time I got some gal who didn't know her a** from a hole in the ground. First she told me that "had arrived a ramp and was awaiting transportation." When I asked her what arrived at the ramp meant, she told me that was where it was offloaded from the ship, because all Mustang GTs are made overseas  :rlaugh:
The remainder of the information that she provided was peppered with a lot of "I believes" and "I thinks." Finally, the Marine in me came out and I had to call :bs: on her. I told her that when I call the number I usually get lots of good information but that what she had given me wasn't very convincing, given the I thinks and the I believes. She suggested that I call my dealer.

I called back about ten minutes later and spoke to a guy who seemed to be much more knowledgable. He told me that "the ramp" is where the cars are taken from the factory & loaded on to railcars! As someone who has loaded and offloaded ships that made perfect sense to me. When I told him about the previous conversation with his female coworker, he used terms like "American Musclecar" to descrbe the Mustang. He was savvy enough to know which didgits in the VIN corresponded to the plant where the car was manufactured.
Long story short, car is enroute. It is projected to arrive at the dealer 2-9 Septmber.
