I mentioned before that summit sold me the wrong timming chain for my 1990 5.0. They sold me one that was for a 1965- 1972 ford 302. The tech guy at summit told me that the timming chain would still work fine on my 5.0. Well today my timming chain broke and tore a fat whole in my timming chain cover. In the future I will look up my own part numbers.......

Thats probably the safe way to go. I always double check my part numbers for that exact reason.

Hey bud,
We order from Summit for the second to none customer service, Thier tech dept. is filled with kids that know very little about everything they sell. Keep in mind Summit cant be held accountable for what one salesman told you you needed. Sorry about what happened but I stick by Summit, They have never let me down.

Summit has even paid my freight when fed-ex screwed up. But then again, I always check the manufacturers site for part numbers before ordering. I'll stick with summit.
