I don't see much chatter about the repro door shells that are available. I imagine they will have to be tediously fitted to the body...anyone used these successfully?
My former "parts only" car ( a C code coupe with lots of rust) may get to the point where I want to go ahead and fix it up. I am going to learn to weld on it by replacing the rotted out trunk and replacing the front end where the battery ate through the apron, framerail, radiator support, etc. I am learning on this car so as not to screw up my T-5.
If I get the body back into shape, it needs two complete doors. The bottoms are completely rusted out.
But hey, I got it for $500 and it's all original. Even the paint marks are still under the hood...
So, how about those door shells?
