Hi
Just got a double din radio/nav/sirrus radio... Eclipse AVN6620 (used) and looking for tips on installing it!!
Searched and read a few posts but some photo have disappeared.
Anyone have any install photo they are willing to share.
I am buying an 2001-04 Mustang A/C And Radio Control Bezel and a American International FMK554 1995+ Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda Double DIN Install Kit
Along with calling Crutchfield about a wiring kit....

Any other suggestions

Steve

My son and I started the radio install... Long day.. 10;30 TO 6PM.... 3 or more hours left
Here are the parts and what is done to date.
Bought radio used $200.00 Came with Nav., Sirrus module, Parrot (bluetooth) module, bought Ipod module $106.00. Ipod cable installed in Glove box, now I will have to buy an Ipod ... Grandson says it's the only way to go.
All modules wired and under passenger seat, just laying there now.. ??? Will have to work on that I guess.. Well off to church later..

I'm watching, keep the pictures up.
I've been thinking about buying a touch screen head unit. So this'll help!

Ok, More after Wednesday... used radio was short the cord connecting to our amp, so had to order a Scosche SLC4 Four-channel line output converter replacement piece to go between the radio amps and the car amps. Crutchfield is your friend will set you up with adapters and cables.

Oh and here are is a link to a thread of double din curiosity and install, the biggest thing is the removal of a support tab behind the bezel

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...t-with-an-android-tablet.858009/#post-8632114

That might help out

Good work. I sure miss the Pioneer double din I had in my 2006GT. Use to watch movies on the way to / from work.

This is something I'm wanting to do also. I'm spoiled by a double DIN nav screen in my DD. The Mustang will get one someday, too.

doesn't sound too safe but I could see the practical use for me easy. I spend a lot of time waiting on people.
What movie were you watching?

Doubt it he was working with this ^^

If it does come out that clean, I'd be impressed though.
The 05 and up dashes are so much more modern looking with the touch screens. Ours can pull em off decently well. They look terrible in a fox body though.

I've got one in my DD F-150. One reason I want to go this way..... I am a little worried about it not having any knobs, I am old you know....

I never liked the original Transformers. Almost the entire movie was a ridiculous air force advertisement.

I remember my reaction to how it looked. I thought it was one of the sexiest body styles I've ever seen....Then I saw the new challenger, with it's gorgeous round eyes.

Pony cars just come out right.

There's nothing wrong with no knobs. You touch what you want and BAM, done. I also want Bluetooth for my iPhone, so I can talk hands-free and stream music.

Finished... Still a few tweaks...... have to match the bezels better..... works pretty well another 7 hour day....
Touch is the way to go. Pretty easy.
Nav. DVD movie, Bluetooth, Ipod
In the knob holes are Blue tooth control, SCT chip/tune selector, and a cig lighter

Nice work I would like to put a double din in mine but really hate the idea of cutting on the dash.
