Well it’s finally in. Three years since I started this thread, but it’s done. Lol. The Sony AVS-1000 is installed. It came out really nice. Fit is perfect, sounds great, and looks clean. Pics to follow. Went from a marginally working factory head unit to a high quality piece complete with Apple CarPlay, hands free calling, XM Satellite ready, and Bluetooth. Took three years, but I’m happy even though I did drill four small holes to mount the faceplate. Trust me, it’s never coming out.
