Has anybody tried to make a Dr. Gas X-pipe fit on an auto 98 GT? Could you just have an exhaust shop lengthen the tubes before the crossover to move the crossover back to clear the auto transmission? I just had my 40 series flows installed, and think they sound a bit lacking. Would an X-pipe make it sound better. I know this is a bit subjective, but I am not really impressed with the flows as is. But for $140 installed, inluding the mufflers, I can't complain. :D

It is not worth the work. The crossover section is going to hang to low I believe if you get it to work with the automatic. I think this is why it is taking a long time for Dr. Gas to come out with a x-pipe for the autos. Maybe they have already developed one, but as of last year there were only for manuals.
