Sup guys. I hope all of you are having a great new year!

I just bought a DR GAS X pipe and i was wondering if it will fit my 95 Convertible.

I took it out of the box and it totally looks different then my H pipe or other X pipe.

The "X" section is all the way in the front and not in the back!!! Is this gonna be a problem?

I am going to take it to the muffler shop to get it installed but i really don't want that guy shaking his head again. (I give him so much trouble LOL)

And also it does not have smog tube so i guess i will really have to ditch my smog stuff too...

Please let me know so i can get this done this weekend.

Thanks guys

??? I thought the Dr Gas outperformed all others on the Dyno...

Not that I've seen, but I haven't looked at any side by side dyno tests that were recent. The last one I saw was a few years ago in 5.0 magazine or MM & FF. They tested a good number of the most popular intermediaries. The Dr. Gas came in dead last of the X-pipes, but still better than a traditional H-pipe. I think the Bassani, was the best of the X-pipes, and the best out of all was the Mac Powerchamber er prochamber or whatever it's called at 8 hp above the Bassani. The Dr. Gas was also the most expensive at the time. Unless they have changed their design recently, which I suspect isn't the case. I think Dr. Gas got the repuation, because they were the first company to offer an X-pipe for the stang.

Do they fit well? or is it a headache to put on?

If the "X" part in the front is bad then i can just use just the "X" part and throw away the rest of the pipes...I have "H" pipe now so i can have the muffler shop weld the "X" in the backside if that's better...

And will it clear the under brace that convertibles have?

Thanks:nice:

the crossover should be as close to the engine as possible to promote the better scavenging. the dr gas unit comes in a bunch of pieces to custom fit it to your car. im waiting on mine to come in the mail as we speak. the sound from it alone is insane best sounding midpipe out there imo. dr gas got their reputation from nascar. they make and do a lot of the boom tubes and exhaust for the nascar teams. they do some awesome custom exhaust work. you can fit it yourself and use some clamps to mock it up then have it welded by an exhaust shop.
