Ok I just got a Dr. gas X-pipe. I will be getting BBK LT's soon. I however will not be doing the install. I will be putting a heat shield over the starter. My question is how has LT's changed your car? Noticeable difference? Power in higher or lower rpm's?

Glad to see you got the X-pipe,

as far as the difference with LTs, I didn't notice any low end difference at all really. It did kinda quiet down the idle and lower rpms though. Once you get on it, it screams, and you will notice the higher rpm difference. Especially with the o/r x. I am sure once you get on it the first time it will put a smile on your face.

I went for the stock h-pipe and headers to a Dr. Gas offroad x and BBK LTs. Very noticable power increase from 4k+. There was a slight torque drop below 2k, but that really isnt that bad. Big change is in the sound. Once you hit 4k rpm the exhaust just screams :nice: . And the sound at idle is nice too. I always get compliments.

im sure it will shane ohh btw you ever notice that the invoice says dr. gas X pipe for mac headers?

It is the same part. For the BBK, there are 2 small sections that you have to use, that are in the box. It fits both sets. I called and asked because I did notice that. He said the Macs are just a little longer, so they include those extensions for the shorter BBKs.

How is the quality and fit of the dr gas pipes? I was thinking of going with 1 3/4" Hooker longtubes for my 347 and so I need a 3" mid pipe and a few guys have told me to get a dr gas pipe. Does it 'have' to be welded?

I wouldn't clamp it...there are simply too many parts to it to trust doing so. Perhaps clamp it just to hold it before you tack it into place to pull down and weld up but that's all.
