I'm considering getting a Dr Gas O/R X but need to know some info first. I know it has to be welded together during install but here's where I ask a dumb question...

Can it be swapped out with the stock H-pipe to pass emissions? I guess I'm asking if the O/R X is welded to the exhaust manifolds or just bolted up.

thanks!

the pipe itself comes in pieces and needs to be welded together, but it bolts onto your car. The best thing to do for fitment it put it in place on the car and use muffler clamps to hold the pipes in position where they fit best, then take it back off and get it welded

You should have know problem. It bolts up like a regular x-pipe at the ends. I have one and love it. Good thing about it, it comes in pieces is that way you can bend it custom to the bottom of your stang.

You can buy just the Dr. Gas X-pipe and work it into your system however you please. That is what I did for my TBird.

^Wow, nice detail!

Thread poster: The Dr. Gas pieces are nice, but you better make sure you or the installer can weld to get the best and longest lasting fitment.
