BFGs tend to cut better 60s than the Nittos but also wear faster.

I daily drive my drag radials so tread life was a deciding factor. I went with Nittos.

I love my BFGs. They are definitely a soft tire so wear isnt amazing, but they hook much better than all my buddies who have nittos. However, since you are putting them on a spare set of wheels you clearly dont have to worry about daily driving wear. Get BFGs or even the new mickey thompson DRs, which are also real soft.

so 275's will fit on a stock wheel. That's good to know. Plan on taking my car to the track in the spring, I kept two of my stocker wheels for drag radials and was wondering what size to put on them.

ive heard great things about m/t tires. but i would only get them as a track only tire as they tend to wear fast

BEFORE you lay down the $$$ for the tires

If you're thinking about 1/4 mile et results

Those wheels are HEAVY

If money is an issue

Find some used Prostars

The 15" tire will bite better anyway

Grady, I'm using them for 1/8th mile actually, yeah they are heavy but like you mentioned, money is a big issue. I'm really just looking for the cheapest way to get my 60 ft down. What do you think about 275's on the stock wheel??? I've read alot of posts about it and some say yes and some say no its a waste of time.

You wont be disappointed....

However, I am going to let you in on a little secret...

I used to run 12-15 psi in the M/T and would cut decent 60's

Then I bumped it up to 21 psi...and I not only cut better 60's (slipping the clutch IS required), I also gained 2 MPH on the big end
