I have a '02 GT and am purchasing a pair of rims and tires for the track. I really like these Summit Quick 8's that look like the welds but i have question about the fitment. I currently have a 17x10.5 and im going down to a 15x10 so i know that will fit.. but the backspacing on the 15x10 is 4.50. Is that going to clear everything okay and not stick out like a rollerskate? Im going to be running a 28x11.50 MT slick.

You need the 15x10 wheel that has 6.5" backspacing. 4.5" bs will stick way out of the fenderwell.

You can also use a 15x8 w/5.5" bs, those same tires will still fit.

oh okay great.. Now i have another question.. My biggest issue was hooking up.. All suspension i have is lowering springs.. What would be a better investment next.. upper and lower control arms? subframe connectors? shocks? Also, i dont have any isolators on my back springs because i wanted it to sit a little lower lol i have a new set of polyurthene isolators for the back, would it help to put those in?

I would get some sfc's for sure and maybe some lca's. You don't really need uppers at this point. You will be surprised how much difference the slicks will make all by themselves.

If you haven't already done it, a 31 spline axle/diff upgrade would be a smart move if your dead set on slicks.

I'd run a 15x8 with a 26x10.50 tire, as I said in another tread. I really don't see any benefit of running a 10 inch wheel, or 28 inch tire in a bolt on car with gears.
