My previous best was 14.3@99mph with a 2.24 60'
Hp was 208 at the wheels and tq was 278 at the wheels.
Since the last time I ran, a hiflow catted h pipe has replaced the off road h pipe, koni red shocks/struts have been installed and set all the way to soft. Alum. Driveshaft was replaced with stock driveshaft. Mac CAI was replaced with stock box and panel k&n. 70mm tbody and spacer was added.

Unfortunatly I dont have new tires yet so I will still be running on worn out h-rated tires. I dont have my timing light with me so timing will be stuck at 11 degrees unless I find someone at the track with a light.

Last time I ran the car, I never let it cool down and ran my best time at 200 deg. as opposed to 220 deg. This time im going to let it cool all the way down and ice down the intake mani. How long should I ice the intake and should I cut the car off while waiting in line if the line is long? (in otherwords how long does icing the intake last?)

Last time I didnt change the pressure in the tires. I was thinking about running 35psi up front and 25 out back. Any recomenadtions on that?

Last time I ran with full weight, spare included. Should I ditch the spare and the sway bar?

Im also going to turn the fuel pressure up half a turn or so and unplug the o2 sensor to see if that helps.

Id really like to get into the 13's with 2:73s so any input is appreciated

I dont know, you'll prob run slower it sounds like - you took off a good flowing H pipe, and put on a less flowing H pipe, you put in a heavier drive shaft, and your tires are weak you said ... gears are highway gears.... However, not familiar w/ koni suspension parts, but if they are racing/launching suspension parts, you could brake even or maybe go a 1/10 faster, Why did you replace the H and Driveshaft???

H pipe for emissions. Just until I can buy a house with a garage.
The driveshaft was because my alum one was getting chewed up by the parking brake bracket. Nothing I did could fix that. When I replace the control arms and busings I may have another go at one

defianately remove that front sway bar. just a few bolts to a better 60ft time. make sure you run on a half or quarter tank. as for icing the intake i dont know where you are but here in TX i could ice all I wanted and it would make no difference, usually they say to ice for 30-40min in between runs. Take out the back seat, spare tire, jack and i would just leave ur tire pressure how you drive it on the street the reason being is you know how to launch it with that tire pressure versus a lower psi. Good Luck and post ur times.

I wouldnt unplug the o2 sensor , its going to do nothing but piss your computer off. When was the last time you ran and what were the conditions?? The temp outside and humidity will play the biggest factors in comparing your best time and what you may run tonight. Remove the sway bar and all the weight you can. If you can find someone to help with your timing that would help.

yea i heard if u remove ur o2 sensor then u get more fuel at wide open throttle cuz theres lesser resisitance in the computer's circuits so it can flow more fuel.... hahahahahahaha

sorry i was just bein a dumbass for a minute, ive never been to the track and will probably suck ass my first time there, so yea

Here's an old trick. When you stage come at the beam at a slight angle. That way only one of your front tires is actually staged with the other tire being slightly back. When you launch both tires have to clear the beam before the timer starts and you will lower your 60 fts. And stay out of the water.

Well The weather sucked last night so I didnt make the 2 hr drive. So now I have an extra week to prepare. I can get my timing light now and maybe have a fresh set of tires by that time. My first time out the best 60' I could muster was a 2.4, so I thought a 2.24 was pretty good on the same tires.

As far as the 02 thing;
When the ECA enters the closed loop mode, the 02 sensor reports the extra enrichment caused by the higer fuel pressure to the ECA. The ECA then shortens the injector pulse width and leans out the car. With the 02 disconnected, the ECA will either stay in closed loop mode or deliver a neutral air fuel ratio signal to the ECA if it does.
